Just a quick rundown from yesterdays call. Was great to see some new faces Andy and Olly. A few things that came up: Olly is working on a Southampton related build for the SeaCity event next month which sounds exciting, I think it is hard to explain but maybe Olly can share some pics showing it’s progress over time!? Club members get priority display space at The BRICK People events, so if you fancied it too, give Gary or myself a shout. There is no particular theme, but Easter or Oceanic (or both!) builds are welcome. We took a deeper look at the Rivendell set and some new creator modular’s. I dug out some of my old ones (the two on the right in one of the photos). We determined they were a great alternative to the more expensive Modular’s like the new Jazz Club set. So if you want Modular’s on a budget, then the smaller ones could definitely tick that box! We tried to work out how much Pinocchio’s nose stuck out of his minifigure head as part of the 100th Disney anniversary minifig series. You know, life’s important questions need to be answered! We guessed at about 1mm I think, if anyone knows of some better pictures then feel free to post! Pinocchio is definitely my fave minifig in that set! We did think it would be great if the nose could have been extended too somehow. We do want to work out an in person meet at some point in the future, so if anyone is up for it please can they send me their rough locations and we can float some ideas of easy places to get to, that’s kind of easiest as possible for everyone. We looked at and discussed a bit about the Bricklink designer program, which was interesting to learn more about. Such as the limited run of sets and that each box as its unique ID on it? Neat. If anything else came up that I forgot please feel free to add to the comments!
