My £10 bargain arrived today woohoo!

I’ve got it and built it into the pirate ship. I absolutely love it and it was a very nice build. I especially love the detailing like the skull and crossbones on the main sail. i must admit that I thought I would strip it for parts a few months down the line but I can’t bring myself to do it. It sits proudly on display in my Lego room. Always keep checking Amazon and Zavvi as the frequently have good offers on it. I’ve seen it for £67 a few times on both sites

That’s the beauty of Lego, it appeals to everyone in different forms. If you like the set buy it, if you don’t like it don’t buy it. If everyone was the same the world would be a very boring place. I must admit that I was not interested in the botanical sets and then the bonsai tree had a great discount on Amazon so I bought it. My main reason for buying it was for parts but I put it together and it was a really nice build. It’s now ended up in my display cabinet.

Wow! The mega CD. I had the original megadrive and then upgraded to the megadrive/mega CD all in one which doubled up as a personal CD player (although it was a bit too chunky to be used as such regularly). I ended up giving it to my sister in law about 24 years ago (she was just my girlfriend’s little sister back then!). Gutted really, I should have kept hold of it.

This does look good. It certainly appeals to me a lot more than the world map that came out a while back. I really like the building aspect of it and it looks like it’s got some nice techniques. The mosaic world map turned me off as it looked like a very boring build.

I picked up the mermaid from Amazon for £8. TBH I still think it’s a bit overpriced even at the discounted rate, people must have been mad to pay £17 for it. I must admit I haven’t tried the app yet but I have been a bit put off with reading people’s reviews about how much storage it uses. Have you tried the app, Steve?
