LEGO for boy with life limiting cancer.
BIRTHDAY BOY FUND!
Sorry for the lateness of this post but I posted this in the Facebook group and totally forgot to put it in the forum too for those not on Facebook! Anyway here it is:
If you would like to contribute please do ASAP (his birthday is at the end of April!) via PayPal to paypal.me/brickpeople and label it "BIRTHDAY BOY!". We will then buy a bunch of LEGO sets for him and get them sent directly to the school!
We appreciate any contributions! Thanks guys!
Background:
This was an enquiry we had recently through the business for a LEGO birthday... "I work in a primary school and am looking at arranging a party for a past pupils 12th birthday. He is Autistic and has life limiting cancer. He is currently undergoing radiotherapy daily at the moment. He was asked what his wish was by Young Lives vs Cancer and he said to see all his friends from when was at our school and to have a birthday party as he has never had one before. So, we have decided that in some way we will give him the birthday party of his dreams! He is Lego obsessed so we’re going with that theme." We are currently trying to help them out with someone that can do such a party, which is almost sorted, but I wondered if we as a LEGO club could do something. I have a few ideas but wondered, maybe we could all chip in a bit of cash and get him an epic LEGO set to unwrap?

BIRTHDAY FUND UPDATE: So we have name of the LEGO fan birthday boy going through cancer treatment, his name is Kian. The plan is to gather any funds from any of you that want to contribute (send to https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/brickpeople and add a note "birthday boy!"). The plan is to buy some stuff on Monday the 24th April to the school directly to the teacher. I will do this on Monday so last chance to contribute to the fund is this weekend.
If you wanted to send something directly, please contact me for the full address.
All I have to go on is that he likes minifigures and Star Wars. That’s all I have!
Thanks guys. A message from her too…
“Oh that would be absolutely amazing. Mum was so touched, in tears, when I told her about our conversations and all everyone is doing. Thank you so much, I am so grateful x”
LEGO is such a small thing, but we all know it can make a huge difference to peoples lives don’t we? 🙂
Let’s do this!
